The conference will be hosted in “Hotel Occidental Torremolinos Playa” in Torremolinos (Spain), right on the beach front, 10 km from Málaga.
Grid and Internet access.
Standard European plug sockets with AC 50Hz 220V will be provided.
During the workshop, access to Wifi Internet will be available for registered participants at the Conference room. Internet will also be available at all the hotel rooms.
Accommodation
80 units at Hotel Occidental Torremolinos Playa (former Hotel Pueblo Camino Real) have been reserved until Aug 6 for the conference attendees, on a first come, first serve basis. The location of the hotel can be seen at https://www.barcelo.com/en-ww/occidental-torremolinos-playa/.

Please include in the email your arrival and departure dates and the number of people per room. Credit card details are needed for the booking, with no charges if rooms are cancelled before Aug 6.
Parties of 1-4 people will get a double/twin room.
Hotel prices
We have obtained very competitive prices for staying of 4 or more nights (shorter staying are possible but prices may not be kept):
- single room (breakfast included): 96 eur/night
- double room (breakfast included): 110 eur/night
- triple room (breakfast included): 150 eur/night
No need to request half board as lunches will be included in the registration fee.
In any case, extra tickets for accompanying persons for the buffett lunch (21 eur) can be purchased at the hotel (a 3 eur discount is included).
Tickets for the buffet dinner (for the workshop attendees and accompanying persons) can be purchased at the hote for 24 eur/person (a 3 eur discount is included).
Other possibilities
Accomodation is also possible at other hotels such as Royal Costa in Los Álamos (10 min walking distance, lower rate) or Puente Real (10 min walking distance, lower rate). There few others in Playamar, near Torremolinos (15 min walking distance or more), such as Riu Costa del Sol, Parasol Garden, Sol Príncipe, … but we do recommend to stay together at Hotel Occidental Torremolinos Playa.
Travelling to Málaga
There are international flights to Málaga from major European airports.
If you grab a taxi and you need a bill from the taxi driver, just ask him/her: “Necesito factura por favor”.
Getting to the Conference Hotel (“Hotel Occidental Torremolinos Playa”) at Los Alamos:
1) Getting there from the Málaga High-Speed Train “Maria Zambrano” Station
Taxis and private pick-up services will exceed 20 eur but only taxis are allow to stop at the train station and the price difference between taxis and private pick-up services is negligible so we advise you to grab a taxi. Just 15 min drive to Los Alamos. If you need an invoice, just tell the driver “Factura por favor” once you are done.
But the cheapest way (3,60 eur) to get to the Hotel Occidental Torremolinos Playa is to get to the “Cercanias” train (line C1) within the High-Speed Train station (on the southern side) and grab the train there towards “Fuengirola” and get off at “Los Alamos” train stop, just 20 min on the train. It is the fith stop after (the one inmediately earlier is “Plaza Mayor”). Trains are available between 5:30 and 23:30 with high frequency (every 20 min) between 7:00 and 22:10. Once you get off the train, go under the train track (there is a short underway passage) and walk 250 m towards the beach along the main avenue (“Avenida de la Riviera”). The hotel is on the right side, close to the beach, at the end of the short “La Toja” street.
2) Getting there from the Málaga “Pablo R. Picasso” International Airport:
